MULVANE, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas Start Casino was evacuated on Friday evening due to a bomb threat, a firefighter at the scene told KSN.
The entire facility was evacuated while agencies work, and the roads surrounding the casino have been blocked off.
The director of public safety for the City of Mulvane said a threat to the facility was called in just after 5 p.m.
The Wichita Police Department told KSN it sent its bomb-sniffing service dog to Mulvane to check the casino. Nothing out of the ordinary was found, and once the all-clear was given, the casino was allowed to resume business.
Anyone who knows anything about the threat is asked to call either the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. They can also contact Wichita Crime Stoppers by calling 316-267-2111, submitting a tip online, or submitting a tip through their mobile app, which is available through Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
